Due to popular demand, organizers of the Game Developers Conference (GDC) have extended the submission deadline to submit session proposals for the specialized summits. The call for submissions is now open through Friday, November 1.

Taking place the first two days of the five-day conference, the GDC Summits cover topics in emerging sectors of the game development industry, with a focus on broadening the scope of games to incorporate new audiences, new platforms and new gameplay ideas. The conference will take place from March 17 to March 21, 2014 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California, with the Summits taking place the 17th and 18th.

The 2014 GDC Summits accepting submissions are:
· Free to Play Design & Business Summit
· Game Narrative Summit
· GDC Education Summit
· Independent Games Summit
· Localization Summit
· QA Summit
· Smartphones & Tablet Games Summit
