Hi Deniska or anyone who can help me,

I'm using the PSP-290 on a 3.03 OE-C kernal with 2.71 usbgps.prx and 2.71 usbacc.prx. Have been using this nifty device for some time now and it works in Singapore. However, I'm on holiday in Melbourne and the map keeps saying OUT-OF-RANGE even though I know that the maps downloaded are definately in range of where I have been travelling.

After doing some troubleshooting, I realised that Mapthis was picking up the satellite latitude data wrongly despite a good fix of 5 satellites. The map of Melbourne has a latitude range of approximately 37 degrees and lontitude of 145 degrees, however Mapthis was picking up the latitude data as 391 degrees.

Has anyone had this problem before and resolved it?

Appreciate the help!!

try changing your INITLOCATION on the config. 0 1 or 2

I had that problem when I was testing out the different versions of prx files. It did the same thing for me on the 2.71 prxes (out of range), so I changed to 3.4 prxes and it worked fine.

I already noted a few times that 2.71 FW files had a bug, prohibiting users in western hemisthere to get correct coordinates... I guess they did it because they were only releasing/testing it for Japan :-)
