I'm currently playing Pokemon emerald and im trying to use cheats from a FAQ in Gamefaqs.com for it to make a pokemon by the name of Cubone appear.

Now, im not exactly having problems getting the cheats to pop up so i can enable/disable them, i got that far, but no matter what i do the cheat itself does not work.

It doesnt seem to do anything. I'm wondering if im doing something wrong? Could anyone with more experience and a copy of this game for Gpsp please help me to get the code to work?

This is a link to the FAQ: http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/921905/38469

This is the "Must Be On" Code:
B749822B CE9BFAC1
A86CDBA5 19BA49B3

This is the Code to make Cubone appear in random battles:
5993E9BC 25410DFA

This is how my .cht file looked:

PAR_V1 Must Be On
B749822B CE9BFAC1
A86CDBA5 19BA49B3

PAR_V1 Cubone
5993E9BC 25410DFA

They are Pro Action Replay codes im sure, The FAQ says more about if you want to check. I wouldnt be so desperate to get this to work but you cant actually obtain this Pokemon in this game version, You have to have it traded to you from another game...Please, Any assistance is happily accepted.

none of the cheats worked for me in that game either. i think it may just be Gpsp.

Is there another emulator that will play at the same speed and can enable cheats?

I'm just waiting for a new release of Gpsp in hopes of the cheats working better. Thats probably the best thing to do right now.

At the very least you should be using PAR_V3 in the cheat file because the FAQ says they're V3 codes... And you also shouldn't be turning on a master code.

I'll check this site specifically to see if I can get them working.

i tried all of the cods on v_1 and v_3 and none of them worked. it said right in the readme that the codes may not work properly.

There isn't a complete V3+ PAR implementation, but I was also told by someone else that several codes in Pokemon worked. I didn't have time to test very much myself (only the ones I gave in the readme). It's difficult to know what's gpSP's fault and what's the user's fault until I investigate further.

Thank you all for your help. I suppose i'll wait for another update to Gpsp. Thank you for personally responding Exophase and good luck on coding.

I put it right in the same folder that the game was in, not the "GAME150" or "GAME" folder, but the one that all of the files for the game was in.
