http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/11/xbox-video_620x340.jpgMicrosoft might have just shared a slew of happy (http://www.engadget.com/2013/11/08/xbox-one-will-arrive-with-six-months-of-free-skype-calls-if/) Xbox One (http://www.engadget.com/2013/11/08/microsoft-xbox-one-demo-video/) news (http://www.engadget.com/2013/11/08/xbox-one-neat-features/), but it also has something sad to announce: the death of Xbox Video (http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/15/death-of-zune-brand/) support for Zune. To be precise: Zune's PC client, whatever Zune players (http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/03/zune-is-dead-long-live-zune/) are left out there and even Windows Phone 7 devices will no longer be able to play Xbox Video content starting February 2014. Redmond says it's a result of the company updating its video catalog to be able to add high-quality files to the service more quickly. Seeing as Zune marketplace (http://www.engadget.com/2013/08/18/microsoft-axing-zune-marketplace-rental-and-purchases-points-us/) was also axed recently, this doesn't come as a huge surprise. That doesn't mean you can only use Xbox Video on the company's consoles, though -- it'll still be very much accessible on Windows Phone 8 devices, Windows 8/8.1 PCs and the service's yet-to-be-launched website (http://xboxvideo.com/).
