Interesting new project from Ocean19 (http://blazebyte.net/forum/index.php?topic=5159.0), heres the details:

Figured it was about time to show you guys the project I was working on...
Been giving updates regularly to the Moderators in our private forum, but haven't showed anyone else yet.

Note, It doesn't have PvP battles, and you can't see anyone else on the map moving. However, you can still do many other things.

Some features it has:
"Who's Online" page, along with the latest news.
Your own "Personal Message" (PM) for the game.
Multiple skills to gain (attack defence etc.)
Different races and classes.
Cash, and money that can be earned.
Equips, and other types of game objects.
Reputation points.
The ability to trade other people.
Sell your items.
Drop them on the map, and other people may find them.
Character page, including various statistics (and the option to drink the potion in the beginning, so you can actually move places).
Full chat, located under the "Character" tab.
Travel, to walk around the map. :|
Explore, to enter homes and portals. You can also use this on random map tiles, to gain items sometimes.
Arena, to fight monsters and gain levels + items.
Blacksmith, buy items (weapons, shields, etc.)
Inn, to rest and regain health.
Item + Magic shop (buy things, obviously).
Town Hall, where you can start a guild as soon as you're over level 10 (or join others).
Trade (self explanatory).
Music, an assortment of legal tunes, to further enjoy your online experience.

That's all for now.
I'm going to be implementing a few other things, like high scores, and the PSP only script in the future. I just can't be bothered to right now.

This uses the engine from the PHP game called Phaos. I have gotten permission from Zeke Walker (the maker) to use the source and get it to work perfectly on the PSP.

sounds great! i wish you could see others moving around, but still sounds really cool. is it 3D? this sounds like a great mmorpg, if u add seeing other players and quests it would be even cooler.

Here are some screens from the PlayStation forums thread (http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=psp&thread.id=3107602) (thanks, littlevish!):

The head of this project says in the official release thread that the site is under upgrading, which is causing troubles with the site. So it'll probably be up in the near future. Also, I read that 450 GB of bandwith has been reserved for it. Should be enough?

Anyway, great project. I'm looking forward to try it!

Looks good graphics are a turn off though.

Turn-off?! What the hell do you expect from a browser-based game?
I - and many others, especially people who can't play homebrew, I imagine - think this is superb. I didn't even think you could control a character, but do everything through text (like NordicMafia).

I said it was good I just don't like the graphics lol, doesn't mean the game is bad just that the 'graphics' don't appeal to me.

Sorry guys, I wasn't expecting that many people...

It's here: http://danmx.ulmb.com

Anyways, try it out now. I hope it works fine. It seems to be okay on PC, but I don't have my PSP with me at the moment.

Much thanks, I should be putting up the source to it soon enough as well.

Wow pretty kool, I'll be waiting on some updates too while trying this out, I really hope to see farther development in this, and hopefully see commercial game industries to consider making a game such as this, depending on demand?
