Straight from my blog (http://tacticalpenguin.com):

I finally finished PSP Tower Defense; yay!

What it has:
-Menu with instructions, credits, level select, level deleter (in case you made one you don't like) and level maker
-menu background is a slideshow of screenshots
-an on-psp complete GUI level maker. basically ev. a. ree. thing. is customizable ; the path the creeps (guys you shoot at) take, what kind of creeps there are, how much health they have, how fast they move, how much money they're worth, how many of them come, how fast they come, what kinds of turrets there are, how much damage they do, how fast they shoot, how far they shoot, how much they cost, how many waves of creeps there are, what creeps each wave has, how many lives you have, how long between waves, how much money you start with, and just in case you've customized it all a little too much, it has a nuke button too.
-money which is spent on turrets and upgrading them
-turrets can be sold; when sold they give half back
-turrets can be upgraded to increase how much damage they do
-turrets have circles around them showing how far they can shoot
-creeps have health bars over their heads showing how much health they have left
-info about the current wave is displayed at the bottom, info about the selected turret/turret to build is shown on the right side
-turrets by default shoot at the creep that has been onscreen the longest, usually also meaning the one closest to the exit
-the next wave can be sent early
-did I mention everything is customizable?
-simple to the point instructions
-has many common things for any tower defense game

If anybody makes some good levels and wants me to include them in the next release, email me the level's txt file (from the maps folder) and any custom images it uses and I'll check it out and possibly include it.

If you enjoy the game please vote for PSP Tower Defense in the Neoflash summer coding competition.

Be sure to check the included readme for (a lot) more info.

The download is kxploited so if you have 1.50 kernel just drop both parts in GAME, otherwise drop both parts in GAME150.

I love tower defense games! I have job for someone willing with relation to TD games. This is the best online TD game by far http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/game.asp , could someone more tech savvy than figure out how to isolate the .swf file and put it up for download (right now i can get the file but the game thinks it needs an internet connection or something) could someone get it working on a psp without having to get the psp online, i just want to play it from the psp internet menu without connecting to the internet please! Anyway, great new homebrew addition man! -Sisko

Theyll both run terribly slow though; the psp's flash player isn't that great.

haha thanks

I think people have made downloads of a bunch of flashgames that are tested to run well on the PSP; basically, any simple games, like snake, will run ok. Just search around for "psp flash pack" or something, you'll probably find some.

I beat your game, I thinks it's awesome. I would love to see you continue with this game, add sounds!!! I would love to play your next release of this, is there to be one? -Sisko

Yea there probably will be, but you can't really "beat" this game; go to the level maker and make your own levels and you can play those; if you make a good one send it to me and I might include it in the next version.

Also, the next version mighty have online map sharing.

Sweet, just the tiniest bit of sound response from the players actions would go a long way I think, the level editor is fantastic! Like a sound for placing towers, selling them, buying them, upgrading them, and the firing sounds of the towers and sounds for when the creeps die, I actually like the graphics this simple. If you used a really catchy color scheme you wouldn't even need to make too many graphical changes. -Sisko

callsign - I can definitely add sound later and maybe online map sharing too!

Also, I'm working on a small update right now with a few bugs fixed and a couple more maps.

Just wanted to say thanks for releasing the TD game, really enjoying it so far.

I see that most of the images in the game are PNG's but I couldn't find any images for the guns.

I love the idea of theming the game - is there anyway we can have graphics for the guns too - we could then release theme packs.

Just a thought - keep up the excellent work :)

Having images for the turrets is something I'll try to do but rotating images uses a bit of cpu; if I can make a good way to do it I'll definitely make the guns be images instead of a box + a line.
