Costello (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,4593.0.html) posted this release into the Neoflash Coding Contest:

DSHobro is a homebrew web browser for the Nintendo DS. It requires a PC application to function. The newest version (0.3) comes with Flash/Java/ActiveX support, text input, automatic connection configuration and more. The real purpose of DSHobro comes when you're away from home and want to surf the web with your DS. If you've started the server app on your PC and it's still running, then you can surf the web from any WiFi access point in the world.

The files included in the zip package are:
- DSHobro03.nds (normal version)
- DSHobro03.sc.nds (sc version)
- DSHobro03.ds.gba (slot2 version)
- readme.txt
- Server.exe: the server application.
The original MD5 hash for this file is 5bc8b5e0270ed6ea4c7821f320224967, CRC32 is 9492F36E.

Becomes more useful with each release. Forms support is basic as is expected, but it works for Google searches and such.

Took like 10-15mins to load google images and then an extra min to scroll each set!!! :(

Then tried DSo 2.9 and it took 8secs (with images)

10-15 minutes? o_O That's freakishly slow. It only takes 10-15 seconds for me.

strange... takes less than 10 sec for me. Plus it has better image support than DSo.

Hmm, It says wifi connection successful, and then it says it's Auto-configuring..then it just sorta hangs there.

Will there ever be a time when the server app on the PC is not needed, like the standalone Owiki? I'd love something like that with graphical interface and clickable links - oh one can dream...:D I love DSHobro and Owiki, great work guys!

Just what IS the progress on Okiwi? Last I'd seen its fairly dead.

Oh and this, given how DSO likes to EAT MY FILES, is about the only real alternitive I have for homebrew-y web-browsing sooo...thanks for keeping it going man.

Just a quick observation: after upgrading my graphics card to something remotely recent, I found that the speed increased by a noticeable amount. Much more usable now IMO.

I got mine to work fine. My friend how ever thinks it sucks because it uses a jpg for each page, not the actual site

Maybe someone could make some kind of open server for this !
Than you wouln't have to have your pc on all the time.
Or make some kind of site where you get a key if you complete a offer :p everyone hates those sites... heheh

Anyone here volunteer to have his pc on 24/24 7/7 for other people to use his internet :D

This thread is three months old.
The creator stopped work on it and took down said Zero-Configuration Server.
Revert to 0.2 or use a different browser.
