Wireless Broadband....?

Probably a stupid question, but I was suprised to learn for only 60 bucks amonth and a simple USB to Cell phone cord, you could subscribe to verizons wireless broadband, hook your cellphone to your laptop and away you go! Would it be possible to "port" the software gateway for your laptop to your psp?

Hmmm....realized that its not exactly open source is it....well it was a really cool thought anyway.
