I tend to not pre-order consoles, if I want one when the demand is high I go and wait outside the stores for upto 2 hours before opening (like I did with my Wii back in December) :D

No, she just reimbursed me (as she couldn't get one). I actually went and bought it, and with the reimbursement I bought the 2nd one (the next day) which I sold on eBay...

...I thought you knew the story already? dumbass! lol :rofl:

She wouldn't of got up as early as I had to go out to get my Wii's, because within 10 minutes of the stores opening they were all gone, December 2006 was a horrible Christmas to those who didn't get a Wii. But I went out 2 days in a row and managed to get a Wii on both occasions (and weren't they supposed to be hard to get??? Some people with Pre-Orders were waiting up until late February early March for their Wii's???), which I made a profit to buy an overpriced WiiPlay (as there were none in stores until mid-late February and I had to buy from eBay) and I made an extra amount of GAME points for my GAME Reward Card for buying the 2nd Wii (which the buyer never got) :D

Which if people follow my doings of getting up at a stupid hour to reach a store at least an hour or two before it opens, they can get just about anything, I'm going to do the same with Manhunt2 whenever it's released (because I feel it's going to be over-popular) :D :D

Yes my holiday was ruined because i couldn't get my girl the wii(i would get mine later:thumbup: i can wait) but when i got their the store clerk said not ever 5-6 minuntes and they were all gone. So i felt sad year that i couldn't get one. Then i found one on my aparment that i got that belonged to the people who lived their.
I never gave it back but now its broken(like my dam toaster that caught on fire:mad: :rofl: ).

It always goes back to the toaster.
I don't do pre-orders. I like to live dangerously and not pre-order em, then see if they have em in store. :rolleyes:

I don't do pre-orders.

Good choice, people who pre-order quite often get messed around and screwed over by the companies taking the orders.

Well i pre-ordered my PS3 at Game.

I enjoyed cueing up to get my PS3, i talked to alot of cool people while waiting.

For things like games, i prefer to order online, but with consoles i will happily wait.

There wasn't a huge demand for PS3 though, a lot of people were put off by the launch price and lack of decent games. This christmas the demand for PS3 might be up somewhat (due to certain games to be released), but not by too much.

online pre-order positives:

*[in the UK at least] You only pay the advertised price, meaning if the RRP is raised prior to launch you only pay the amount you ordered. If the price decrease you save money.

*Early products. Games arrive day before release, console arrive day of release and you can avoid launch day fever [memories of having police escort to car on PS2 launch night!]

*avoid last minute recalls. the product will have already shipped.

* free delivery

*double reward points for GAME

* meaningless free gifts.

the only thing i ever preordered was my psp, which was done just after it came out. i suppose it was like a 2nd wave preorder, i got it a month after it came out.

So your one of those that wait until something is readily available that you can just walk in and buy it. :)

I find it odd that Sony hasn't been actually directly advertising their new PSP. It's not even on the main of the SCEA website. I think they just think it will sell better just as the DS Lite did...

Just wait until the days before and the days/weeks/months following the release, SONY will advertise it.
