A crocodile version of the smartphone also available will be limited to just 500 devices worldwide.
BlackBerry - who backed out of all its buyout offers, declaring that it was no longer for sale thanks to a $1 billion investment (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/blackberry-isn-t-for-sale-bins-ceo-and-secures-1bn-investment/022737) - has announced a partnership with Porsche Design, to launch the all-touch P’9982 smartphone.
The smartphone is powered by a customised version of the BlackBerry 10.2 OS, made especially for the device.
The special operating system benefits from BlackBerry Priority Hub – allowing users to manage all conversations and notifications and filtering them to give immediate access to the most important messages.
BlackBerry Keyboard learns how the user types, what words they use the most and offers next word suggestions.
BBM Video with screen share improves video chatting by letting the owner swipe to share what’s on display.
BBM messages can be received and replied to without having to leave an app, or stop what you are doing on the device.
The smartphone also displays a showcase of essential apps for the P’9982 customer, including productivity apps, games, videos and music based on what apps have been downloaded.
The device boasts a satin finished frame forged from high-quality stainless steel, plus a hand-wrapped genuine Italian leather back door.
A special edition crocodile skin version will also be released, but limited to just 500 devices worldwide.
The device will be available from today in any Porsche Design store.
