Microsoft will face an uphill battle meeting demand for Xbox One amidst 'unprecedented' pre-order numbers, according to its corporate VP Phil Harrison.
Xbox One's launch "will be a significantly bigger than 360," Harrison toldGames Industry (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-11-21-phil-harrison).

Despite its best efforts, the firm expects its new console to be hard to come by in the lead up to Christmas.
"We're working unbelievably hard to match demand," said Harrison. "I can only apologise in advance to anybody who is let down before Christmas, we don't want to lose a sale, clearly, and we'll work hard in our operations and our manufacturing supply chain and obviously with our retail partners to make sure we catch up as quickly as we can."
