Regarding the news (http://reviews.dcemu.co.uk/new-wii-wrist-strap--70190.html) of new Wii Straps with a locking clip instead of a slider, it seems to be confirmed.

You can request for replacement wrist straps by going to Nintendo's website (http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/strapreplace.jsp), filling in required information and your Nintendo Wii serial number. For those who have already entered their Wii serial number and exceeded the maximum quantity allowed, you can either email or call Nintendo (http://www.nintendo.com/contact) and request for the new straps.

Have a friend in the US register your Wii serial number and have them order the wrist straps and when they receive it, have them ship it to you.
