firmware update question

i'm wondering. i have a psp i bought in hong kong, but i live in the us. can i use a US firmware update on my hong kong psp? or will it mess it up? i went to psp-hacks' firmwares, and i only saw US and japanese firmwares and i wasn't too sure which one to download.

I would consider downgrading and then updating to custom firmware! google it then post back when you know a little bit more about it! its best you dont downgrade without knowing a thing or two!

well... i'ts related to pandora's battery thing. cuz i wanted to downgrade it to the incomplete 1.5, then upgrade to 2.71, then downgrade back to 1.5 and up to like... m33-2.
