Digital media content delivery network Limelight Networks has announced that its technology has been adopted by Sony Computer Entertainment to deliver system software updates ranging in size up to 150 MB directly to PlayStation 3 and PSP users.

Limelight also recently announced a partnership with Microsoft to "help improve the reliability" of Microsoft's online services, such as Xbox Live, and to provide global media streaming and content delivery services to Microsoft, building on an agreement the two signed last year to designate Limelight as Xbox Live's content delivery network.
