Now that the beast PSP Slim is released from it's cage, the hacking games begin. Who can run homebrew/unsigned code on it first ?

What will this do for Mapthis development ?

Imagine:

-64 mb memory is double of the size of the psp so even more POI's can be loaded.

-Mp3 music on background of you driving pleasure, now that more mem is available.

-Video out hack to an external in-car monitor (in the dash or in the head rest monitor of the car). The psp can be in your dash with only a small cable coming out.

-Much longer driving pleasure with PSP-280 (2200 mah battery) in the new PSP slim which is more economical with batterylife !

-Faster loading speeds of Maps.

What do you guys think ?

PSP slim hacking would be cool, but there would have to be a completely redesigned custom firmware to support homebrew because of the sony 3.6 update that the psp slims are coming pre installed with.

I see only one problem.
It's too SLIM for 3D so only 2D will be available.

I have no problems running psp-290 version of Mapthis with mp3 plugin.. well the only problem is that psp's speakers are too tiny for good rich sound...

JoQmp3, plugin only works with PSP-290 version of mapthis.. if you use generic version you can try yousing IRShell to multitask with build in music player..
fritzgerald (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/member.php?u=230748), it worked ok for me for ~30 minutes (I did not have a chance to test it longer)
Try using 05.01 version of MapThis and report results...

But do you want to write a little about how to set it up, and upload your plugin/config?
Don't know which to download. Thanks!

It's a good thing I'm still psychic. Daniel, what your doing wrong is that you don't have teh prx files installed in your mapthis directory.
