i bought Holux 240 because my psp-290 picks up signal so slow. after using holux 240 for while, then go back to my psp-290 again. until today, i mess around the usbacc.prx and usbgps.prx. PSP-290 picks up signal and sat lock in less than a minute. i got around 8 sats lock, and it never happen to me before. Here is my setting for mapthis .501
CPU speed 39mhz on GPS Info
2.71 usbacc.prx
3.30 usbgps.prx
Custom Firmware: 3.52M-4

do the prx files affect how fast you can obtain a lock? when im driving i never get a lock, i have to be standing outside my house and wait 5 mins :/

im using 3.52m33-4 and the 3.52 prx files on my 290

Pretty much same as Kupo24z i have to be standing for a quite a while before i get a good lock.

is there a way you can upload your prx files so i can just overwrite what i have?

I have the same files as the OP - 2.71 usbacc.prx and 3.30 usbgps.prx, 3.52 M33-4 and the PSP-290. It picks up satellites after a minute or so but doesn't lock on till 3 to 6 minutes after. I guess it really depends on where you are and how many satellites are in the area?

In Sunny Sweden we have tons of junk flying in space called Sats that gives us almost 17-22 sats on MapThis, i got a Holux M1000 unit too and it locks on mouch faster, but when i attatched a Extentioncable for the PSP-290 unit it locks on even faster than when its mounted on the PSP because it gets away from the PSP unit a bit ;) about 1½ meters *Lol*

i am using the same exact thing you are using, but mine freezes on the boot screen where it says "loading USB accessory model..." then the power turns off. any idea how to fix it.

could be a keycleaner thingie or a psp not running MapThis v0.5 on a PSP running at least 3.52 m33-4 with self extracted .prx files :)

Ive upped my tuts with new info :)

i figured out what the problem was. the thing is i just updated from 3.40 OE-A and forgot to change the 340 folder to 352. the gps works now but i still have problem when i put in the 3.30 usbgps.prx. im currently using 3.42 usbgps.prx with 2.71 usbcss.prx. somtimes it have good connection sometimes it sucks.
thanks for the help though.
