Square Enix has roared that Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions will be in Euro shops on 5th October.

It's the PSP update of the turn-based game originally made famous on the PSone, with spruced up graphics and audio, as well as some other new bits and pieces.

You'll be able to play co-operatively with a friend, for example, or battle against them if you don't actually like them but can't say it in real life. There's a new character to recruit, too - old girly features Balthier from FFXII.

We had a chance to play it at the Square Enix party in Japan earlier this year, where we were suitably impressed. Tactics was one of our favourite games, you see, and we liked the way it has been faithfully recreated for the PSP.

Blah! Damn Square, that released the game with that crappy lag when you cast some spell. Go to hell, Square! "Die monster, you don't belong in this world!". :-P

Really looking forward to a North American release.

With the PSP Slim and these sorts of games, the PSP is the best thing in the world of tech gadgets right now. Especially thanks to M33 Custom Firmware.
