The latest PSP firmware, v3.71, is available right now via the network update command from your XMB.

So far internet reports tell us that the update does ... well, not a lot really. Despite Sony's talk of "new, user-requested features", there doesn't seem to be any evidence of any additional functionality at all.

Needless to say, don't upgrade if you want to keep all your homebrew.

from the update thingy on the psp It says

"This update includes the following changes:

* A correction has been made to the settings for some regions.

for detailed information including limitations of usage, visit the PSP web site for your region."

I used pandora's battery to downgrade from 3.71, but that was on a phat psp, maybe it's because the 3.60 m33 / pandora battery combo is designed to patch. 3.60 firmware....
But, if thats the case I'm sure team m33 will make a version that works for 3.70/3.71 soon, they haven't let us down so far!

No, Sony could release firmware three thousand and it wouldn't make the slightest difference anymore. The Pandora method goes to such a low level that the firmware installed can not stop it. By the way, M33 have released an updated Psardumper that can decrypt all firmwares up to and including 3.71.

Well SONY was supposed to update the popstation PSX emulator as well. That, custom themes, and the other stuff would be nice to have on a CFW.

Also, isn't there an issue with playing PSX games on 3.60 M33 where the brightness changes back and forth?
