I am having trouble getting the Map This! software to recognize my Holux 240.
I am using 3.52 M33 set to 1.5 kernel.
Software is in PSP/Game150.
I can get MapThis! to load up along with the correct map, but I cannot get any GPS data to display after hitting Square.
I have tried changing baud rates. it is currently on 4800...
Is my 3.52 M33 FW the problem???

the gps receiver is getting a signal, I also know its working because I just synced it to my PDA.
I think its probably a config setting thats wrong...

That is right.
Your problem is the baud rate.
It should be 38400.
BUAD=38400

I changed the baud rate and still cannot get it to work. I am starting to think I am missing something or the cable is bad. Is there somehow to activate the GPS other that hitting square? I noticed some people are getting a USB error. I am not getting any error.

I formatted my MS and reloaded the software and maps on there, set the baud rate to 38400, and loaded mapthis!. I see it recognizes about 12 satellites in the GPS Info screen, but i get no location, or information in the info bar on the right...

is the red light blinking on the gps? if not you don't have a fix (read the manual for details)
Also, if you use 240 with other devices - you may want to reset it since some devices tend to re-program it to their liking..
the only sure way to reset that I know of is to drain the battery and then re-charge..

Did you try to go outdoors for a while :)
That might help locking if you get 12 sats recced by your PSP ;)

I walked around the block and still nothing. I also took my PSP with me on my way to work (about 1 25 mile drive) and still nothing.
