The Xecuter Blaster360 v2 is an external switching device when, once fitted, allows you to flash your DVD Firmware without ever having to open up your Xbox 360 case ever again. In the era of constant firmware updates (30+ so far) this is an absolutely essential tool saving both time and effort, making the firmware update process a walk in the park. Also dumping your game backup to your PC is now a fast and simple process. A perfect ergonomic design means there is no soldering and no cutting of the external case - just plug 'n' go. You only ever have to open up your case once! No longer will you have to have your Xbox 360 in pieces all the time, no longer will you have to take the Xbox apart every time you need to update new features and functions or essential bug fixes, no longer do you have to have your Xbox 360 in bits every time you want to dump a game backup to your PC.

It was designed to be as ergonomically sound as the Xbox 360 itself. Its functionally perfect and works so good that Team Xecuter believes all firmware modders will be using this as standard by the end of the year, it just makes life SO MUCH EASIER AND QUICKER!

Imagine using this along with the X360 USB - Firmware modding has never been so simple !

Well now this thing looks really easy to install and it doesnt even need external power!

One question, Does this work with all Xbox 360 drives currently on the Market? Sorry but I dont have any 360 modding experience, just Xbox.

@Harshboy: as long as you don't have the Benq drive it should work

So...how can I check this before buying a 360? Or do newer 360's not have these drives? I want a 360 for Christmas and the Blaster 360 looks so noob-friendly to install. Like...easier than my old solderless Xbox modchip.

I don't think it's any easier to install than using the connectivity kit. Granted, neither require soldering, but the Blaster360's advantage is that it's a once off installation that requires opening the case once.

Not sure how you would see which drive the console has just by looking at the packaging. The easiest way to tell is to open the drive tray and compare it to pics on the internet...lots of sites have the comparison posted. It basically boils down to a comparison of certain holes/shapes on the tray.

I don't think I can afford a $279.99 or higher mistake...

True. As far as I know the BenQ drives are fairly new so perhaps finding a new console from a place with old stock is an option?

Personally i'd rather find myself a decent condition used console, at least you'd be able to make sure in that case.
