A saving of £130/$260 for those of us in the UK.

the 60gb is the best version since its the last model with the original emotion engine,so alot of old ps1 and ps2 titles wont be playable on the 80 gb:cool:
I did not know that. Very good info to be aware of. Does the 80GB version have any other bonus to it besides 20GB more HD space?

Yeah, I'm always thinking on buying the 60gb version. If I ever buy one, I'll buy the 60gb's. Or maybe the 40gb's, I don't know. Depends on what they're going to offer with the 40gb's SKU and the price of it of course.

sonystyle.com was having a deal with $150 cash back on a $300 purchase when applying for sony visa. I bought my 60gb 2 weeks ago for $499 with free s/h, got the immediate $150 cash back, and earned enough sonystyle points from the purchase to have a free sixaxis controller shipped and paid for sent to my house. Icing on the cake is the free 5 BD movies that will be mailed to me with rebate.

so in total, 60gb ps3, extra sixaxis, and 5 BD movies for $350 shipped!! (prolly retails for something closer to $600)
