So I was wondering if anyone could possibily think of a way to do cube games online via Wii in some time in the future.

Even warp pipe lan games would be great.

This maybe a stupid question but would the Wii LAN adapter perhaps be compatible with those Cube Lan Games

i remember reading something someone said here that you cant do that.

you can only do it with the gc itself.

The only way to use these games is via Gamecube Dialup/Broadband modems, and they are not compatible on Wii. You can only use the Gamecube.

Could why couldn't a USB perphieral that worked like the GC BB modem be built.

They built a Wii LAN adaptor.

Still, when the Wii is in Gamecube mode, it acts exactly as a Gamecube (ie. no Wii functions like Wii remote or connectivity like internet). So no, it's not possible.

I guess it would be interesting if someone figured something out. But I guess seeing that the number of online games was so limited it really isn't worth it..

Though it would be interesting as then the gameboy player could also be used.

The Wii turns into a Gamecube via BIOS Switch. So no Wii software or hacks in the future could implement gamecube online. But im sure someone could find a way.
