Installing 3.60 M33 on a PSP SLIM
1. Remove teh MS you made in the ealier part and place it into the PSP SLIM
2. Put in teh Pandoras Battery
3. You will get a black screen, thats is alrgith, the PSP SLIMs LCD drivers are not suported. You have 3 options though.
- Press X to install M33. The process will last just few seconds, since the installer only needs to install the M33 custom prx's and IPL. After the process is finished, the installer will shutdown the psp automatically.

- Press L+R+triangle to uninstall M33 and go back to original 3.60. Note: this can't unbrick a psp slim, it will just remove M33 ipl. There is currently no unbricker for the psp slim, but we plan on doing one in the future. After uninstallation, psp will be shutdown automatically.

- Press square to dump the PSP Slim nand. Watch out: you need 66 MB of free space in the memory stick for this, otherwise your memory stick may end corrupted.

You now have 3.60 M33 hopefully

Restoring your Battery
Go to Game on your memory stick and launch "Pandora's Battery Creator"
http://i4.tinypic.com/6ch53m8.jpg
Press L+R
Now remove MS, and reboot PSP.
Put the MS back in and format it anyway you choose

I have a PSP slim, soooo to install 3.60 M33, do I need to follow the set of instructions for
"Creating Magic Memory Stick Mod for 3.60 M33"? Or do I just use the regular Pandora bat&M.S. from the top instructions

Bobtentpeg

If you dont have a magic MS already, you will need to follow the top and bottom directions, if you do have a magic MS just follow the bottom directions

I just bought a new slim. I haven't even opened the box yet. At the same time I bought a used phat. Unfortunately the phat is running 3.71 official firmware. Is there any way to downgrade or apply m33 to 3.71 official firmware on a phat yet?

Hi All, this may not be the best place for this post - sorry.

My Boss just bought a slim PSP from China with 3.60 M33 pre loaded.

He's got back to the UK and bought a UK encoded UMD movie and it complains about the region code and won't load.

I've been into the setup and tried various settings - telling it to Fake region Europe, free region etc but can't get it to work.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to get a European firmware or is the hardware locked?

Its the hardware, and if you install 3.71 M33-3 on it, and then try to fake a region that should work. If not, just hit select when in the VSH and change USB to ISO/UMD
then enter USB moce and drag the ISO to your desktop
put it on his ms in ms0:/ISO/VIDEO
now it will work

Did you run the program at the end? The extension one?

Once the battery was in, for me the WiFi light came on, though the WiFi swich was off, so I geuss it comes on to show that its working. I left the Slim for aboyut a minuite before I hit X, in case it needed to load.

The screen is supposed to be blank, for me I pressed X and was like WTF, I read more closely (yes I did, hard to beleive *cough*cory and kenkiller) and it said, I pressed X like crazy and finally seen the MS light blink, just to be safe I pressed X again, the light flashed, PSP shut it self off, I turned on and had it!

When I did my brothers I pressed X once and it shut down and worked.

Hi, thanks for writing up the guide. It's been pretty simple and straightforward to follow, but I've got a problem now.

I have a PSP fat with 3.40 EO, working battery for it, spare memory stick, and a new PSP slim with official 3.71.

I followed the guide from beginning to end step for step, and everything seemed to work right up until the very end. The pandora battery seems to do what it's suppsoed to do. I followed all the directions to make the magic stick, when I put them in the slim, it seems to work right. turns on automatically, Screen is blank (backlight on), wi-fi light on. Wait a min, press X, memory stick indicator light blinks for a second, and then it powers down. I put in the regular battery and turn it on, but it's still running 3.71 official...

Any ideas?

Hi

I followed this guide using a PSP fat 3.90 m33-2 and psp slim 3.60 with the idea of putting 3.60m33 on the slim. Everything seemed to go ok, but now the psp slim battery does not work. The psp slim and the spsp fat are both working ok, and the psp slim works fine with the fat battery in it. The psp slim works witht the power cord attached and in battery information it doesn't show any information regarding the psp slims battery just blank...

What have i screwed up? Do i need to buy a new battery? Any help would be cool.

Thanks!

Bobtentpeg
March 4th, 2008, 02:00
No, the slim battery is fine, it might need a little charging and the info not showing up inst to big deal, that was fixed in later frmware

I would recommend 380 or 390

1. You lack the ability to read
2. You didnt bother to read ANYTHING

In the title it says

in one of the steps you say "Now put the battery you wish to use as your Pandora's Magic Battery in your PSP."
Are you talking about a modded battery or not? If you are then I need to know if I can use the modded PSP fat battery that I have (I used it to get CFW on my fat)

what about this
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-hardware-guides/23870-how-create-pandoras-battery-slim-ms-without-fat-psp.html

so you're talking about a modded fat battery right?

Bobtentpeg
April 8th, 2008, 13:18
In that step your creating the modded battery via writing 0x000000 to the eeprom.
an unhardmoded battery is what you use

No, forget about this guide, it is horribly outdated. DDCv5 is short for Despertar del Cementrio v5. I don't think a guide has been posted on these forums, but one can be found on the QJ forums.
