does that mean we cannot use homebrew?

you can use some 3.XX homebrew and some 1.50 homebrew. You can (if your on a fat PSP) use a Pandora to boot 1.50 off of memory stick though

The PSP Slim 3.60M33 does not have the 1.50 kernel, neither does 3.71M33 for both Slim and Classic.
3.52M33 is the newest custom firmware to retain the 1.50 kernel.

i believe there is a plugin that will let you use 1.50 homebrew
