After a disappointing delay, the mini console has been launched today just in time for Christmas.
FINALLY – the GameStick from PlayJam has been unleashed in the UK, after the rollout was delayed due to a small number of teething issues.
Originally set for release in October (https://www.mobile-ent.biz/games/video-android-powered-gamestick-released-on-29th-october/041817), the ultra portable games console, built to bring the best Android games to your TV set, is priced at £79.99, with games averaging at around £1.99.
PlayJam is aiming to target Christmas shoppers who are looking for a more affordable alternative to the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, aimed at the whole family.
Jasper Smith, CEO of PlayJam, said: “It’s been a close run thing but we are delighted to have GameStick on the shelves in time for Christmas. Being honest, we could have had less daunting rivals vying for shelf space, but we do have the added advantage of being in stock and aimed at a very different audience to your typical core gamer so we welcome the challenge.”
