okay, this might be a noobish question but im curious bout something. when you look at your psp's system version, you see three things, the nickname, the firmware version, and the Mac Address. now, i might be a noob for asking, but what exactly is a mac address? and what is it for? and why do people always cover up their mac-addresses when showing their psp screens? could anything bad happen if someone else knew your mac address?

im not really sure, but i think it is a tracking number or something, but whenever someone has a wireless item at my house they need to type that adress in the routers configuration to get to the internet
