ok so im watching mtv and BET and stuff like that and when i see someone in a music studio creating music for songs (hiphop and r&b mostly), people are using Apple Mac computers to mix and create beats for songs. im running a Mac and i want to know what is a good program to use for that. i got lyrics that im anxiously waiting to lay on songs. im thinkin on releasing a mixtape around my neighborhood and school

so far i only got instrumentals of a lot of songs but thats just corny to use other peoples songs and make it my own.

I use Fruity Loops, but that's on PC. Could be for MAC too though.

Use Garageband and whatever comes with that suite. Thats what my friend (a mac user) uses.

I have Fruity Loops, Virtual DJ Studio, and Sony Sound Forge. I use Windows so I don't know if they work for Mac, but they're cool. :p

I use FruityLoops on PC, the best on Mac atm is Garageband. And Audactiy IS just a recorder and editor but it's a terrible one at that. For my recording, I use Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer It's a good $15 program that you can either buy, or get a free trial and crack.
