First of all, many thanks for the excellent work you`ve done so far.

I wonder whether official SONY software for Europe (once it appears) will ever be so good as yours :thumbup:

Now I also have a question. Is there a way to make your "Global Map Download Tool" compatible with the Czech server http://www.mapy.cz?

The reason I am asikng is that the Czech server contains more precise information of Czech landsape and infrastructure than both Google.maps and MS Virtual Earth.

mapy.cz seems to have a different from google projection, so it will not be gps alligned right out of the box..

howether, it should be relatively easy to acquire maps from them...
Ask in7ane if he can add this source to gmdl.
You can use mapCruncher to allign gps coordinates..

I also assume that creating a custom GEODATA file for Czech Republic is currently not supported. Or ?

There is modified version of GMDL and MapThis from "kexik" which support maps from mapy.cz (used in Czech republic). You can find it here:

Kexik will try to update his modified version to match the latest version of in7ane's GMDL and deniska's Mapthis, according to him. Its a work in progress and not tested with GPS290 unit.

Theres not much free geodata for Czech republic, but you could use at least free POI's from www.poi.cz

I want to thank you Brokoslav as Kexik`s modification works just fine for me.

Now I only have to wait for some geodata for Czech republic to make my PSP 100% GPS device.
