extracts prx files from psar files from what i understand, prx files bieng the main component of the psps f/w

PSAR Dumper is a program that allows you to extract and decrypt PSP firmware.

if a new firmware comes out, and you havent got access to f/w files you use psardumper on the update files to split it into the prx's

You need to use PBP unpacker first to extract the DATA.PSAR from the UPDATE.PBP before you can use the PSAR dumper on your PSP
