does anyone know if you can play imports using a boot disk?

I think so. I play the jap version of marvel vs snk on my NTSC dreamcast no problem.

Yes, you can play import DC games using a boot disc...

If you have GameShark/ActionReplay CDX you can use that cheat disc to boot imports. Also you can buy specific import boot discs like DC-X and DC-IE at lik-sang.com .
