Sony Australia will not be introducing a PlayStation 3 price cut but it is following Sony Europe's example by discontinuing the 60GB PS3 and introducing a 40GB console to market.

They won't cut the price because there's not many 60gb units left here & they will sell out quick even without a price slash. There's a 60GB availability topic over at Whirlpool, lots of people are on the hunt for one before they disappear.
