This sounds interesting.... possibly even useful!

Via QJ.net (http://www.qj.net/Sony-compiler-SN-DBS-available-as-license-free-download/pg/49/aid/104834):

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. subsidiary SN Systems announced today that SN Distributed Build System (SN-DBS) is now available as a license-free download. This particular software is actually a compiler that speeds up source code builds between cooperating PC units on a local area network.

SN-DBS works with platforms PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. Aside from the above mentioned, SN-DBS can also be utilized for building various assets through the command line. The software is currently on version 2.0 and these are the major changes since the last build:

- Building of multiple projects in parallel
- Faster builds compared to SN-DBS v1.4 or earlier
- Improved GUI with project view
- Improved support for asset builds

If you want to know more about SN-DBS, refer to this link (http://www.snsys.com/products/SN-DBS.asp). It should take you to SN Systems' web page for the compiler. You can also download there the versions compatible for each platform.
