Hi i was wondering if i should buy the psp slim because i dont know if mapthis works for the psp slim i got a psp-290 and dont know so if someone could help me out please:(

You could try reading the forums, this has been answered before.

Yes the 290 GPS works with Slim, not the generic ones for now ( Holux etc. ).

But if you want 100% Homebrew go for a FAT and just upgrade to Custom 3.52 M33-4 and not above, the Custom 3.71 Fw for Fat is a bit messed up :)
