Nintendo has confirmed a January 10 release date for the physical retail version of Wii Fit U.
The game was previously released in digital form via the Nintendo eShop on November 1, 2013 in Europe and US, and got a retail release in Europe on December 13 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/437689/wii-fit-u-retail-version-delayed-in-europe/).

Those who already own a Wii Balance Board can grab the Wii Fit U game and Fit Meter for $49.99. The Fit Meter is $19.99 on it's own.
A one-month free trial of the full game is available now for download via the Nintendo eShop until January 31. Those who download the trial can keep the game forever by buying and syncing a Fit Meter to their console.
