Hi all
I am a new mapthis user.
Great app, made me order the GPS 290 .. :)

A few questions I'd like to ask.
1.Is there a specific 'firmware' to be used for using mapThis. I've seen people in the forums warning against 3.40 OE. I'm currently running that. Should I upgrade ? And to which version?

2.I need to download map of delhi, India. But I can't run GDML thing ...cause I do not use windows. Do I have a choice ???

Thanks:thumbup:

1) you are probably better of with M33 3.52-4 CFW
2) Old versions of MapThis (0.1-0.2) came with unix shell scripts to get the map tiles from google. It's definitely not the best or most intuitive way of getting your maps, but if nothing else works for you - try using those

Hi,

The getMap.sh script seems not to work any more.

--03:55:22-- http://mt1.google.com/mt?v=w2.21&x=4095&y=2723&zoom=4
=> `8x/001/8x001001.png'
Resolving mt1.google.com... 66.249.93.91

03:55:22 ERROR 404: Not Found.

I assume Google have changed their website round or somesuch since those scripts were written.

Any idea how I can tweak the script to get it working again? I'm a Linux user and only infrequently have access to a windows machine.
