Many of you will not have any idea who these people are, but it is worth a try.

Whatever happened to Jason Rubin and Andy Gavin? I know about 'the speech' and 'Iron and the Maiden' but are these two still in the industry anymore?

With the impending release of Uncharted, i find myself a little confused as to whether it like it or not, or perhaps whether i can appreciate the game for what it is when such a great studio has moved so far away from their roots with the loss of their founders.- i guess the name, inspires me to think on what could have been rather than what is. Needs more orange!

I remember those guys. Actually, I'm one of them! Andy and I have been quite busy in our "retirement" from games.

We started a company called Flektor (http://www.flektor.com) that allows users to do powerful online media mashups without downloads... and for free. Six months ago we sold it to Fox Interactive Media, the parent company of MySpace (http://www.myspace.com).

I have created and written a comic book series called Iron And The Maiden (http://www.ironandthemaiden.com) which is on shelves in the United States and some additional English speaking countries. The Trade paperback will be released internationally soon. Iron is going beyond the comic page. More to come soon.

And we still keep a hand in games. Both of us are very interested in casual games, and excited by the sucess of companies like Oberon. Who knows, you may find us back in the game industry soon.

Cheers-

Jason Rubin
