This is a weekly sig competition. Not a normal one though. Each week I will give you a stock image that you have to work with. There are no ristrictions except for the fact that the sig must contain the provided stock image.

The competition will not be held if there are less than 4 entries. Winner will be decided by a poll.

------------------------------------------------------------------
This week, we will use a stock of a pair of Jumpman Jeter Shoes (which I finaly own, been searching for one forever)

Kaida

Yes, it is. A little too big if I do say so myself. But can't we just post the image? Like you did?

Umm, guys, dont you know how to change the dimentions of the image?

If you use photoshop, use the move tool. Or go to image>image size and change the resolution.

ya but reducing the size also reduces the quality. reducing it that much will make it look like crap.

When I reduce the size the quality stays the same it's just smaller, just do what you can.

The quality wont differ at all. Do what I said and use the move tool.

Well, I saved it, but not into My Pictures. Now when I go onto Paint, I can't select it. Oh, well. I was gonna make an arm pop out of it too...

It seems the color of the shoe matches the background of it too well. I cant remove the background without either removing the parts around the shoe pixel by pixel or accidentally removing part of the shoe. It seems like buddy was having the same problem, but was able to deal with it better than me.

Buddy, thats very impressive, I will have to step my game up. And beeing that this is the first competition, it will be held longer than a week.

Sigh... Can't you just pick another picture? Something a little better and something we can all work with?

My 2p's worth. Gone for an abstract approach and taken certain elements, layered them up and played with the layer blending modes.

Yeah! I really love it beetroot bertie. But sadly I have made a new thread because people are complaining about the stock.

Great sig though, I really hope you enter the new one.

What the HECK happened to the sneaker... ?!

It's in there. Just not as a whole item :D. Everything in the sig is taken from the image supplied, just overlayed etc beyond recognition. The only addtional bits were some flipping/resizing of elements and a bit of the Guassian Blur filter and the aforementioned layer blending modes.

If I had to use the whole item it kinda takes away from the creative possibilities in my opinion. If you still have the original image in use as a complete pic then all you're doing is adding backgrounds etc.

Do I have to use the whole item more literally? If so, I'll try with the new image.
