Lars Hannig, the author of Ocean Depths (http://www.starcat-dev.de/english/products.html) for Atari Jaguar, thinks about a Dreamcast version of his new graphic adventure game Eerievale:

Eerievale is a horror adventure game using pre-rendered bitmaps, first person perspective and gameplay wise it's like the traditional point-and-click graphics adventure games.

This hobby project started in 2003 and has gained quite a fanbase since then, so I thought it would be good to make the game available on different platforms. The game will probably run at 640x480 24-bit[...] It will be in three languages... German, English and French.

For more info check out the official Eerievale website at http://www.eerievale.de

Additional translations like Polish, Spanish & Portoguese would be great. If someone would be interested please get in contact with Lars Hannig at the Eerievale forums.

This is very interesting. I'm a big fan of games like Myst.
And I've been looking for homebrew adventures of that type of game, but found only unfinished python stuff.

Is this a commercial Jaguar title and if so, will the Dreamcast version be commercial, too?

It was done for Jagfest 2003 so i believe that would be homebrew. Also if there was a source code available the game is portable in C++ and SDL so it wouldnt be all that hard to port the PC version as said on the site. The game looks brilliant.
