With Super Mario Galaxy being sent to retail stores to be demoed, some souls have taken the game home and leaked the full version of the game before its officially released. Supposedly, Super Mario Galaxy has a new copy protection that prevents the game from working on modchipped Wii's.

D2CKey is the first modchip to be able to play Super Mario Galaxy. Other modchip makers such as Team Cyclops (CycloWiz) and Team WiiKey are looking into a fix. Actually, Team Cyclops has already released a 3.6BETA that works with Super Mario Galaxy. Team WiiKey has found a fix but will need to recode as there were changes made. No word from other makers and open source's such as WiiFree, YAOSM.

We here at DCEmu do not condone piracy. If you want to play the game or any game for that matter, go out and support the developers, publishers and the industry by purchasing the actual game from your retailer.

*UPDATE*
The Wiikey Team has released a beta version of their firmware which addresses the Error 001 issue in the Super Mario Galaxy Nintendo Wii game. They are now the third company to release a fix for their line of Nintendo Wii modchips.

We are pleased to announce that BETA HOTFIX v1.9g of the Wiikey firmware is now available to download. Please note that this is a BETA HOTFIX released as an immediate response to feedback from users regarding SMG. It comes with absolutely no warranty or guarantees. Use it at your own risk! Feedback is welcome, but please send your message one time only. We can't reply to every message we get, but we do read all of them.
