Cooleyes has today released a new build of his impressive Media Player for the PSP which comes in downloads for all homebrew firmwares.

Cant decipher properly whats new but nothing major this time.

Please Download at the Official Site (http://www.cngba.com/thread-16816469-1-1.html) at this time until i get big forum uploads fixed.

I'm sorry for sounding like an absolute dork, how is this better than playing it on your PSP's built-in player? Is it better than just playing mp4 files?

It all boils down to your preference, some still debate whether PMP or MP4 AVC is better.

I use it mainly because my PC can convert PMP's faster than MP4 AVC, plus the smaller file size (24 min. video = 80mb @ 400Kbps) than AVC really helps those users who want to cram more videos on their memory sticks.

Bear in mind that PMP player only plays PMP files.

Oh wow, I didn't realize it's that much smaller in size. I should give it a try! Thank you!
