Things are still a bit slooooooow as far as new eShop content goes - that headline covers all of this week's new releases - but hey, let's pick apart the bones.

Unepic (http://www.unepicgame.com/en/index.html) has been around since 2011, but today marks its debut on Wii U. It's a platformer with RPG elements, evoking classic D&D and NES-style gameplay - or, in the words of Nintendo's own blurb (http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/6org-3IcWp9DV0C8en0mnu1pYI-JZMfG), "Unepic is a mixture of platform game, role game and joke that takes place in a huge castle of medieval fantasy. It is set in the eighty's style, but completed with the most actual features."

Ahem. As for F1 Race Stars Powered Up Edition, the Wii U edition of Codies' cutesy karter (http://www.f1racestars.com/en-us) adds four tracks, nine accessory packs, and motion and tilt controls for a GamePad steering wheel. Also, there's Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest to keep the Virtual Console ticking along.

Lastly but not leastly, Etrian Odyssey Untold (http://www.joystiq.com/game/etrian-odyssey-untold-the-millennium-girl) is half-off at $20 until January 27.
