Sony may improve that state of affairs in the future, though, as it recently filed for a patent (http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=4&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=%22sony+computer+entertainment%22.AS.&OS=AN/%22sony+computer+entertainment%22&RS=AN/%22sony+computer+entertainment%22) on a modular PlayStation Move (http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/20/playstation-4-move-support/) controller. The concept lets gamers attach parts to the Move that change not just how it feels, but how it behaves in-game. A set of "limbs" would turn it into a humanoid, for example, while a rotating part could switch between a gun and a sword. It's an intriguing idea, although we wouldn't count on seeing it any time soon. A modular system would likely raise the price of a future Move controller, and Sony has lately focused more on the DualShock 4's Move-like features (http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/03/the-playroom-playstation-4/) than dedicated peripherals.
