Hi,

I just recently got a psp it's the old one not the slim version. I have upgraded the psp to 3.71 M33-v2,
I would like to know a couple things about GPS:

1) does it support Canadian Maps?

2) How do you update the maps?

3) which version out right now should i install on 3.71?

4) Which Version has Voice

5) what gps receiver is best to use (sony's one or Holux)?

6) can anyone provide a link to the guide & files to install the GPS on my psp.

looking forward to installing

thanks

1) Of course it does.
2) Download them again.
3) The newest => http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=78439.
4) 0.5+ (though atari800 released a version with voice using 0.499).
5) Sony's PSP-290 is cheaper and easier to connect, but Holux devices are quicker in getting a fix.
6) See stickies at http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=170.

Thanks for the info

I tried installing, gave me a error "game could not be played" so i changed the kernal to 1.50 and it worked but i tried zooming in on the NY test map in there and it froze... is that a problem everyone is having?

what should i do to fix that?

let me know

thanks

There are two versions, one for PSP-290 (should be run under FW3+ kernel) and one for generic devices (under FW1.50).

Apparently, freezing still happens every once in a while when loading files. You could try version 0.501, which has never crashed on me.
