I was messing around with my Flash0 after installing 3.72 HX firmware on one of my PSP. Since I read it's basically the same as 3.71 M33 I was very trusted. I ended making the 3.72 HX firmware to run 1.50 kernel'ed applications. So here's a tutorial how to make it.

Warning - You need to manage the Flash0 manually, be extremely careful -Warning

You need files from the Flash0 of 3.71 M33 firmware. Make a back-up before installing the 3.72 HX

Creating Flash0's back-up:

1. Go to the Recovery Menu
2. Select Advance
3. Connect your PSP to your PC using a USB Cable
4. Toggle Flash 0
5. Copy the folders to your PC

Install 3.72 HX-1 Firmware

Flashing your folders on 3.72 HX:

1. Go to Recovery Menu
2. Select Advance
3. Toggle Flash 0
4. Copy the folder /km to the root of the Flash0
5. Copy the file reboot150.prx to /kd/

Good luck!

Seems pretty safe. I've never had a problem modifying my flash manually so shouldn't be that hard. It's pretty cool how that works just copying over the root150.prx file and you get your 1.50 kernal back. I can see a lot of people messing this up. Auto installer maybe?

You got to change your settings on your PC. Set it so you can view hidden folders.

Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Advanced settings

some of its been marked as protected system files by sony, all you need to do is enable "show hidden files and folders" in folder settings under control panel (thats in xp btw)

can anyone confirm if pops works? if it does might be time for an upgrade

It's not late. Look up for a friend who has 3.71 M33 with 1.50 Add-On installed and tell him to help you with those files. If not.. well I'm here. ;)

How i install it ?
Should i instal the 3.71 M33-2 and the 1.50 add-on, backup my flash0, instal 3.72-HX and then copy the relaed files to flash0 ?

I dont think that NAND corruptions bugs are patched yet by DAX, so i dont know if mess with my flah0 is safe with 3.72-HX...

Hmm, Can you delete the flash0 and replace it with 1.50 or any other firmware using the toggle USB flash0 option in recovery, and use that firmware?

Just something I have always thought about.

Make sure the option to "Hide operating system files" is unchecked also or else you will only get access to part of flash0. It is right under "Show hidden files and folders".

Falco: Try unchecking "hide protected operating system files"

already told you about your sig, ab88. noob and ignorant are the same thing, it's being STUPID that's a totally different thing altogether.

Example:

if you've never been taught that DVD stands for digital video disk, because nobody has ever told you and you never read it anywhere... that's IGNORANCE. This can be cured with a bit of education/information.

When you are very slow or incapable of learning, that's retarded. No real cure for this either, but at least it can be dealt with... with LOTS of patience.

When you KNOW something, like the electric stove it hot when it's glowing red, but you touch the darn thing anyway... that's STUPID! No cure for this...

I was going to do that! Couldn't find the root150.prx though when I was looking through :P I'll try this tomorrow. But you forgot one thing... the "podules" directory. That needs to be in vsh ;)

Also, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that 3.72 HX is lame. It is just a hex edited vshctrl.prx to change the offsets for patching to 3.72 and a hex edited recovery to say 3.72. Looked at it myself and Mathieulh has also said so.

This is why pops doesn't work, as the pops patching module is exactly the same as from 3.71.

So, since 3.71M33-3 is out with a new popsloader, is it possible to do this method described here after updating to 3.71M33-3 to get access to the 3.72 pops and the popsloader of the 3.71M33-3?

Cloudhunter

You are far better staying on 3.71 M33-2 and upgrading to 3.71 M33-3. This is nothing special, this is all 100% Dark_AleX's code, apart from the installer.

What, like pops? Oh, doesn't work on 3.72. Oh and remoteplay? Can easily be added to 3.71 M33-3.

3.71 M33-3 with popsloader and the remoteplay files from 3.72 works.

The reason I want 3.72 HX-1 is because remote play dosn't work with the new 2.00 firmware for PS3... But it works with this...

Please answer this:
1. so i can just launch homebrew now from the game150 folder?
2. I need to copy the /km folder of 3.71 to the /km folder of 3.72? replace all?
3. I need the already existing root150.prx that already exists somewhere in 3.71 to /kd in 3.72?
