10 Sats Fixed, but....

I've searched and searched and read and read, and i have the feeling it's out there....so, if it's obvious sorry, sorry!

Holux m1200
mapthis 4.97 beta
GMDL 5.01
Homebrew cable


Followed the tutorial to the "T" http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=60230

I've tried to find something in the GMDL wikibook....

I get 12 visible sats, 11 fixed and info for each one, but no speed, bearing or altitude data. When I hit "square" I get the "gps mode on" message, but nothing happens. no zoom of cursor to location, nothing....

Is it my GPS?
My version of Mapthis?
Doing something wrong building my maps?
I'm getting sat info, so my cable is good, right?

If anyone can even point me in the right direction, I'm happy to figure it out, i'm just stuck, and REALLY wanting to play with this killer prog.

Does MapThis' info screen list longitude/latitude? If yes, then there might simply be a bug in MapThis. If not, it may be possible that your GPS unit is defect, in that it doesn't send all of the data it should have.

You could try a more recent MapThis version to see if anything changes.

Ok, just dropped 5.05 in. (didn't know it was that easy!) and BAM! everything seems to be working...
