My friend game me a Nester DC emulator which played SNES games on my Dreamcast.
Im wondering if their is anyway I can play arcade games on my dreamcast? I have a few games like Xmen, Simpsons and Terminator that I really want to play on dreamcast.
Does the MAME for DC emulator work with every single game that works on MAME for arcade?
And is it the same, do I need a boot disc for it then a game disc? Any links to either?
Thanks so much in advance.

I dunno. I think most MAME ports aren't exactly up to date...
...but you could try out Neo4All or NeoDC, both allow you to play NeoGeoCD games on your Dreamcast. They're really close to perfection - you'll be surprised!

Thanks for your reply.
However, I have no need to use that Neogeo thing because it doesn't support arcade games.
The games I mainly want to play are Simpsons, X-men and Turtles in Time.
I found a MAME site which has game packs and such, but I don't know which files I need to burn to do what.

You have good taste in multiplayer arcade. There is a Simpsons single arcade machine emulator for the dreamcast, otherwise you cannot play it on normal mame ports. I don't know about X-men, but Turtles in Time may be emulated in one of the wow-packs.

Thats good news.
Do you know where I can download the Simpsons thing?
PS.
I found this
http://dev.dcemulation.com/mamed/xmen.html
does that work?
Im completely new to this and I don't even know where to start. Assuming I want to play the X-men or Simpson, single game things, do I use a specific boot up disc?
What exact files do I need to burn?
