Getting high marks for mixing genres, Ultimate Mortal Kombat combines the visceral thrills of the classic Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and the addictive puzzle action of the Puzzle Kombat component of Midway's best-selling Mortal Kombat: Deception in a single DS-friendly package.

With new record-keeping capability, and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support for multiplayer action, you'll be able take Ultimate Mortal Kombat anywhere for fighting action on the go.

There's not much difference between the ds and snes version the ds version has wi-fi connection the one player is kinda silly there is no settings for difficulty how dumb can game get even the snes version had this option it's an good game if not better than jump super stars and bleach 2nd.

Okay, this is an excellent conversion, and the graphics and everything else are excellent for the DS. Having said that, the controls in all 2D MK games are so stiff. They're not bad games by any means, but I'd still rather play the GBA version of Street Fighter Zero 3 than this.

C'mon, Capcom, when are we gonna get a Street Fighter game for DS? I would gladly pay $150 (no joke) for an NDS cart with SSFIIT, SFZ3, SFIIITS, and Puzzle Fighter. Of course I know that won't happen, but heck, Street Fighter Zero 2 alone would absolutely make my day (it's still my favorite in the series).

Street Fighter is way different to MK. Don't go comparing the two like they're the children of 2D parenthood.

Lol, personally I think SF and MK are very similar. I love em both, but allways prefered MK just cos of the hilarity of the fighting.
Lack of dificulty setting just means you gotta get good... it DOES tell you ALL the moves.. cant get much easyer.

I picked up this game last night and honestly played non-stop online for like 4 hours! lol...this brings back so many memories, and it's a great version of the game. FYI: To properly end an online game, Press B at the player select screen (i don't think that's mentioned in the instructions...or maybe is and I missed it). THis game is awesome! The online game is where it's at for sure. Some levels which have a lot of animation in the background see a slow in the FPS probably due to there being more data to communicate through wifi. I'd bet there is little to no lag if you're playing over a local connection with a friend. This is by far the best version of this game i've ever played, the wifi is fantastic!

One shortcomming i have noticed. The moves listed on the screen do not adjust for any changes made to one's control configuration. I think the arrows pointing -> <- down and up are with respect to if you start the game on the left side fo teh screen.

For actually move details including combos, check out this site:
