The Jersey-based online entertainment retailer is planning on working with games publishers to offer the public an opportunity to gather and play in a similar way to Games Convention in Leipzig.
The event, dubbed Play.com Live, is what the UK audience is looking for, according to Play's head of games Gian Luzio.
"Play.com Live provides a great platform for all games publishers to showcase their games for 2008 and Wembley provides a fantastic venue for an entertainment show.
"We have some fantastic plans for this, ensuring it appeals to the mainstream audience both young and old."
Tickets for the show, which is taking place across the weekend of March 15 - 16 next year, will go on sale from December 3 exclusively on the Play.com web site, although pricing details have not yet been announced.
