View Full Version : Firmware v2.01 Coming Soon

Hey everyone. We know you like to hear about updates a few days in advance, so here's a quick heads up that we have a new System Software update in the works.

Firmware v2.01 is a minor update that will improve the stability of PLAYSTATION 3.

We'll provide more specifics as the update is about to go live, but we thought we'd give loyal blog readers advance notice!

Just as I expected to happen, hearing some appear to have hit problems with the current 2.00 release.

i have problems, most of my games crash for no reason, sumtimes i turn the ps3 on and within seconds the xmb crashes!!

oh and its missin in game xmb and home ;)

Yeah, Ive begun to notice my xmb keeps crashing as well as some of my games. Hopefully this does the job. If It doesn't ill just die.

dont think there are going to be too many features(if any)to be honest

It's pretty obvious that this one is just being made to address the issues in 2.00

its everything to get excited about wen u cant play ur games cus they keep f***in crashin!!!

anybody own enchanted arms? since 2.00 i havent been able to load my save games without it crashin :(

i have had no problems at all. only real change is everthing works faster, just lucky i guess

Well Assassin's Creed has locked up on my 3 times since I got it (once when my friend was playing). Nothing major, but kinda annoying.

COD4 has been bricking PS3s from what I have seen from the official PS boards, but COD3 takes the cake on that one. Whether or not COD4 is due to 2.0 or because Activision sucks nuts, I don't know.
