Using 3.71 M33-3

No signal at all.

I downloaded the map of my area LaSalle, QC, Canada.

Receive no signal and gps does NOT even calculate the speed.

Please help me. I am using the correct prx's from 3.71 decrypted (posted in the forum).

The mapview is placed in the game371 folder (tried all folders).

I am using 3.71 M33-3 and there is no problem with this software. You can try an official version of MapThis and see if the problem persists. It might be hardware issues.

I have tried all of them from 0.5 series. It says GPS Status on ( I even tried disconnecting it it went to "off" then reattached it, switched to activating and then on) But there is no satellite info...

Then go to some remote areas to pick up satellite signals. Too much electronic noise inside the city.

I am outside of the city that's the thing. Not many buildings clear area.

One possible reason: defective PSP-290.

If in GPS info menu, there is always no satellite info shown, you might have hardware problems.

The problem that I am facing, I was riding around the city today and I was picking up sat signals. SAT-IN-VIEW was around 2-4. BUT it was not locking on the map, the speed was always at 0.

And in the sat info colums/rows it would say FIX: 0

Dunnot know what it means. Please help guys.
Today I was using 0.5.2

Try slowing your CPU? I set mine to 111 and it locks a lot faster.

But it never locks...

In the gps info it says CPU: 110MHz

That part never made sense to me, but in the older version you set the cpu speed at which it would run and another when you view info on gps. Change the setting in your configuration file and then try to lock on.

Same problem here, I just got the PSP-290, set everything up, it sees a bunch of Sattelites, but wont lock. Once it locked on three, and then 5 minutes later the whole mapthis software froze up.

im using my psp290 on 3,71 here in toronto. I takes awhile for the sats to get locked. but eventually it does work.
try not moving as its easier for it to lock the sats. also i keep on pressing [ ] square, Turn Gps ON. and seems to help :P
